Metro stations among wedding-ceremony hall choices in Istanbul…

The couples in Istanbul can now organize their wedding ceremonies at the city's metro stations instead of going with wedding halls.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) announced on Friday that it will allow metro stations to be used as venues for wedding ceremonies.

The first wedding is set to take place on October 30, 2016 at the Haliç Metro Station, which is just above the Golden Horn and connects the districts of Fatih and Beyoğlu.

The couple and guests will take the Yenikapı metro at 11.00 a.m. to get to the ceremony.

Istanbul's Marmaray metro, a subterranean rail system crossing the Bosphorus Strait, is also available for such receptions.
