First Urban Transformation Has Been Completed in Istanbul…

The first area in which urban transformation has started in Istanbul, was Havaalanı Neighborhood of Esenler District in Istanbul . After three years of rehabilitation and construction works, urban transformation has been completed. Right owners got their keys and deeds on Monday 31st, 2016.

Based on Council of Minister’s decision, Havaalanı Neighborhood of Esenler District in Istanbul, which had been declared as the first urban transformation area in Turkey, has finally been completed. Construction of the houses, of which the base was laid by Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey has been completed.

2.373 houses and 55 offices have been built within the scope of Havaalanı District Urban Transformation Project, of which construction has been undertaken by Emlak Konut GYO, and which had been carried out in partnership by Esenler Municipality and Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation. 760 Million Turkish Liras have been invested for Havaalanı District Urban Transformation Project which has been carried out in 72.000 square meter area. Draw for right owners of urban transformation houses, 403 houses and 32 offices, was carried out in 31st of March 2016.

Right owners got their keys and deeds with a ceremony which was conducted on Monday, 30th of May 2016. Keys and deeds were given by Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, who has started the mobilization in urban transformation first with this district.

Mr. Tevfik Goksu, the Mayor of Esenler District, says that preparation for the ceremony and all the other preparations have been completed, also he states: “Our president has started the urban transformation mobilization first with this district by trusting us. We have not disappointed our president. We completed the constructions and now houses are ready for their owners. We invite all of our citizens’ participation in our ceremony which was conducted at 14 p.m, 30th of May, 2016.
