IBBSK Paralympic Swimmer Kutlu to Participate in 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club (IBBSK) paralympic swimmer Koral Berkin Kutlu, 14, won the gold medal at paralimpic games held in Thessaloniki, Greece between January 17-18, 2019.

Koral Berkin Kutlu has put the gold medal around his neck in the 200-meter freestyle swimming race and was qualified to represent Turkey directly for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

And with his success, Koral Berkin Kutlu, who obtained the quota for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, became the third Istanbul IBBSK athlete to participate in 2020 Paralympic Games after Beytullah Eroğlu and Elif İldem, who have already qualified for the Summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Koral Berkin Kutlu, who started swimming at the age of 9, won many medals in the international arena despite his young age.

The 2020 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the 32th Olympiad and commonly known as Tokyo 2020, is an upcoming international multi-sport event that is scheduled to take place between July 24 and Aug. 9, 2020, in Japan's capital Tokyo.
