Mayor Imamoğlu to Meet Investors and Bankers in London

Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoğlu will make a two-day working visit to London between November 13 and 15 to hold a series of key talks. The Mayor will meet Mr. Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, and the world’s leading finance companies including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Citi Group, HSBC, BlackStone and Bridgepoint Capital Group.

Mayor Imamoğlu will arrive in London Wednesday night — where he will firstly pay a visit to Turkish Ambassador Mr. Ümit Yalçın on November 14. He will then hold a meeting at Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Relations) and meet with Sir Simon Fraser, Vice President of the Institute. The Mayor pay a visit to London Mayor Sadiq Khan in his office.

Mayor İmamoğlu will also give an interview to Bloomberg TV and talk about his vision for Istanbul. In the evening, he will join a meeting hosted by the London Union of Republican People’s Party (CHP). He will then meet with Turkish citizens living in England and listen to their problems and concerns.

During his visit to London, Mayor İmamoğlu will hold a series of bilateral meetings, and meet with executives from various finance and investment institutions at a working breakfast meeting on Friday.

Some of the institutions that Mayor İmamoğlu will meet with are as follows:

Investment Banks: Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Citi Group, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Barclays.

Funds: KKR, 3i, BlackRock, BlackStone, Standard Life Aberdeen, Bridgepoint Capital Group.

Investment Experts: Macquarie Infrastructure, Brookfield Asset Management, M & G Investments, IFM Investors, Carlyle Group, Global Infrastructure Partners.

Mayor İmamoğllu will leave London straight after his meetings end, and will arrive in Istanbul late Thursday night.
