IMM Awarded with Golden Compass by Turkey Public Relations Association for Crisis Communication

Developed by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s Public Relations Directorate, “Istanbul's Integrated Crisis Management” project has been honored by Turkey Public Relations Association (TUHID) with Golden Compass Award at its annual 18th award ceremony. This award is considered as one of the most prestigious in sector.

The project, which includes integrated crisis communication activities within the framework of reputation management was deemed worthy of the grand prize by the selective committee formed by the notable professionals of the sector. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Public Relations Manager Atakan Yılmaz and other managers participated in the award ceremony.

One of the most respected awards of the sector, “Golden Compass”

Golden Compass Awards Ceremony was held at Zorlu Center PSM by Turkey Public Relations Association (TUHID) celebrating its 47th year in communication sector. The award ceremony brought together prestigious public relations’ professionals along with important figures of both business and politics, selective committee members, media members, academicians and young communicators.

Not only this year but also in the previous years the projects of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s Public Relations Directorate were honored with awards at Golden Compass by TUHID.  

Expert Jury Evaluated Hundreds of Applications

The Selection Committee founded by the experts in their fields, carefully nominated the projects that were granted an oportunity to compete for Golden Compass. The Selection Committee consisting the president of TUHID, 8 representitives from communication field and business, 2 NGO ve 2 public representitives, 2 academicians, 2 digital communication representitives and 4 media representitives totaling a number of 21 experts awarded 49 projects from nearly 300.

Integrated Crisis Management of Istanbul

Istanbul's Integrated Crisis Management Project consists of measures taken to prevent possible problems that would affect citizens in the event of a crisis or a problem, the effects on the citizens, and the feedback evalutions of related increased satisfaction levels. With this project, the undisclosed needs are specified in advance and the results are reflected upon the integrated activities of the departments. The project also includes the most effective ways to benefit from the municipal activities of Istanbul, developing projects focused on citizen satisfaction. The project is integrated with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s reputation management activities.
