IBBSK Wins Medals in Various Tournament

The IBBSK successfully represents our country in every branch of sports in the international arena.

The IBBSK athletes won 2 gold and 1 bronze medals in the international tournaments that they participated in last weekend.

The club has been collecting medals in the international competitions over the last few weeks. Neslihan Yiğit, a badminton player of the IBBSK won a gold medal at the 43rd Yonex Hungarian International Championship 2018. Cihat Ulus, an athlete of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sports won the gold medal at the 62nd Balkan Cross Championship in Romania. Also, Onur Aras won a bronze medal in the Under-23 Balkan Cross Championship.

Neslihan Yigit won a gold medal at the International Badminton Championship held in the city of Budaors, Hungary between November 1-4. Turkey won 1 gold and 2 bronze medals in the tournament, participated by 223 athletes from 32 countries.

Neslihan Yiğit first defeated his Estonian rival Kati-Kreet Marran 2-0, French rival Marie Batomene 2-0, Danish rival Mette Poulsen 2-0, defeated Finnish rival Airi Mıkkela 2-0 and he got through to final. In the final, he defeated the Bulgarian rival Mariye Mıtsova 2-0 and won the gold medal.

On the other hand, Turkey won 6 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals at the 62nd Balkan Cross Championship which was held in Botoşani, Romania.
