IMM’s Yeşim Bostan Come in Second World Archery Championship…

IMM's Athlete Yeşim Bostan came second in the Compound Women's Category in the 2018 World Archery Indoor Championships held in the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center, South Dakota, USA.

The 2018 World Archery Indoor Championships drew approximately 550 athletes, athlete trainers and officials representing 31 countries national archery teams to compete in the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center.

Our national archer Yesim Bostan has won against Irene Franchini, an Italian archer and entered the quarterfinals 150-148. In the semi-finals, she reached the final by defeating Canadian Dawn Groszko 148-147.

Bostan came through a similarly tight match against Avdeeva, a three-time World Cup champion and a silver medallist at this event last year, she eventually lost to Avdeeva 145-141 and she got a silver medal in the Compound Women's Category in the 2018 World Archery Indoor Championships.

Turkey
participated in the Championship with only 4 athletes and it finished with two silver medals.

Istanbul mayor Mevlüt Uysal called Yeşim Bostan and congratulated her. Mayor Uysal stated, “I congratulate Yeşim Bostan on her success that she got a silver medal in the Compound Women's Category in the 2018 World Archery Indoor Championships.
