Turkish and Korean Literature Symposium to held in Istanbul…

Under the theme of "Traditional Culture Elements in Turkish - Korean Literature", the 5th edition of Turkish - Korean Literature Symposium, which has been organized since 2013 within the context of "Istanbul-Gyeongju World Culture Expo 2013", will be held between 16th and 17th September, 2017 at Grand Cevahir Hotel & Convention Center in Istanbul.

The symposium will be held in cooperation with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), governorship of Chungcheongnam-do Province, Gyeongju Municipality and Dongni Mokwol Literary Museum, and with the support of Gyeongju Writers' Association and Gyeongju World Cultural Expo in Istanbul.

The 5th edition of  Turkish - Korean Literature Symposium will take place in Grand Cevahir Hotel in Istanbul in three sessions for two days.

The symposium will begin with the opening remarks by Mr. Hüseyin Eren, Deputy Secretary General of IMM; Mr. Abdurrahman Şen, President of the Cultural and Social Affairs of IMM; Mr. Kim Yongsu, Cultural Director of Gyeongsangbuk Province and Mr. Joo Han Tae, the director of Dongni Mokwol Literature House at 10.00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16th, 2017.

The first session of the symposium, where celebrated writers and scholars    will come together from both countries, will be held under the title of “The Literary Influence of Turkish and Korean People's Traditions” and the second session of the symposium will be held under the title of “Usage of Turkish and Korean Traditional Culture in Contemporary Literature”.

The third session, which will begin on the last day of the symposium at 09.30 a.m. on September 17th, 2017.
