2017 Balkan Rowing Championships to be held in Istanbul…

Balkan Rowing Championships (BRC), organized in collaboration with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and Turkish Rowing Federation (TRF), will be held between 8 and 10 September, 2017 on Istanbul's Haliç (Golden Horn).

Balkan Rowing Championships (BRC), organized in collaboration with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and Turkish Rowing Federation (TRF), will be held between 8 and 10 September, 2017 on Istanbul's Haliç (Golden Horn). 

A many as 240 athletes from Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia and Romania will participate in the event.

General Programme

1. Official Openning

The official opening of the regatta venue will take place on 09th, september, 2017

2. Training times before the first day of racing

* Thursday 08 September: 16:00 to 19:00
* Friday 09 September: 08:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 17:00
* Saturday 10 September: 16:00 to 19:00

The venue will be open 30 minutes before the course opens for training and close 30 minutes before the first race

3. Training times during

06:30 until 30 minutes before the first race

Closing Ceremony – September 10th., immediately after last race about at 12:30

The Balkan Rowing Association shall be the successor of the Association originally established on April 13-14, 1973 in Athens and named the Balkan Rowing Championships (BRC) that had operated under that name until 2000.

OBJECTIVE
The objective of the BRA shall be to develop and promote all forms of rowing sport, to improve the relationships among the member federations and the Balkan countries, and to organise the Balkan Rowing Championships every year.
